Vintage Hoffman Sterling Silver Butterfly Wing Palm Tree Paradise Brooch

Vintage and soon to be antique paradise brooch is signed Hoffman Sterling for New York based Frederick S. Hoffman and Company which made the in vogue butterfly wing jewelry from 1930's - 1940's. The brooch features a tropical sunset scene with palm trees and birds against an iridescent blue sky. The luminescent blue is from the wings of the Morpho butterfly as the background sky, with reverse painted images for a dazzling effect. The brooch measures 1 inch by 1 3/8 inches wide and it weighs 4.9 grams. It is in great vintage condition.
