Vintage Sterling Silver Operculum Bracelet

Heavy vintage Operculum bracelet is marked sterling on the clasp and has been tested as sterling, and measures 7 1/2 inches in length.  The circles have a diameter of a little over 5/8 inch and the weight of the bracelet is 31.6 grams.  A matching necklace is available under a separate listing.  Operculum is a part of a tropical marine snail that was popular in jewelry making in the late 1800's during the Victorian era and then again in the 1940's - 1950's.  During the Victorian period, the jewelry was popularized as warding off evil spirits since it resembles and evil eye.
