Antique Bohemian Garnet Crescent Moon Brooch

Victorian crescent moon brooch has been tested for silver and gold and is positive for neither, so I'm guessing it is base metal.  It features sparkling rose cut Garnets and it measures about 1 1/8 inches by just under 1 inch wide.  It weighs 2.8 grams and it is in great vintage condition.
